NOTE: The best way to do basic cheats in the game is to alter you amount of gold and your "character points" (labeled as just "Points" on the character stats screen...these you can then distribute to any of your numerical stats). Also, I would make an easy to use trainer instead of instructing how to do memory searches, but the locations in memory for these values change each time you run Arcanum or its demo so this is impossible as far as I know of.

1. Download and install (unzip to a folder) Game Trainer 2.01.
2. Run Arcanum and load in your game.
3. Go to your character stats screen and make a note of its value (the real range for this value appears to be 0 to 55 and this will only be useful if you have more than zero points and hopefully more than 1 as well...you'll see why). Write it down (see this picture).
4. Remain on your character stats screen and use the ALT+TAB key combination to minimize your Arcanum game and get back to your Desktop.
5. Run "Game Trainer".
6. In "Process:" drop down menu, select "ARCANUM.EXE", which also has numbers in front of it but these don't matter (see this picture).
7. Now, in the "Value:" text box, enter the value for your character points and press the "Find" button (see this picture).
8. Leave the "Game Trainer" in this state and click on the Arcanum.exe button in your taskbar to return to Arcanum.
9. Now use one point thus reducing your character points by one.
10. Remain on your character stats screen and use the ALT+TAB key combination to minimize your Arcanum game and get back to your Desktop.
11. In the "Game Trainer", in the "Value:" text box, enter the value for your character points NOW and press the "Sieve" button. This will search only where the previous number was found and look for this new value (see this picture for first sift and this picture for second sift).
12. Repeat steps 7 through 10 until you have found only one location in memory to edit (this is usually accomplished within one or two sieves (sifting)...this is where your character points are in your computer's memory.
13. Now move the single memory location to the right side as shown in this picture.
14. Now simply edit the value shown as you can see in this picture.
15. Now return to your game and use your newly appointed character points (leave the character stats screen and return to it to see the new value available).
16. FINAL NOTE: It looks as though the game may not grant character points when it normally would if it determines you have unusually high attributes and stats, so be wary of this. This could mean you only have one chance to do this (as you cannot ver easily find a constant value of zero that would represent your character points later using this method).

1. Download and install (unzip to a folder) Game Trainer 2.01.
2. Use the same method for gold editing as described for the character points editing detailed above, except using the gold value of course. Drop gold coins to alter the gold value for sifting using "Game Trainer".
3. NOTICE...you will only actually see the final edited value you assigned to gold by going to your inventory screen and picking up your gold pile and putting it back into your inventory.
